Steve definitely gets my vote for number 1. He showed courage and determination throughout the book.I loved his stories about being on the force. His view of the corruption was intriguing I did enjoy disliking Roxy. I felt she brought drama to keep it interesting. I also feel Steve could do better than her.

My favorite character would definitely be Steve. I loved how courageous he was. I loved the fact that continued to advocate for justice and fairness despite all the trouble he faced.

I liked Roxy character, liked her energy to chase after her dreams, like the understanding she and Steve shared and also the way she stood up for equal gender rights and peace.

Heather was one of my favorites, though she had limited page time, her insight she gives Steve is profound and really helps round out his healing thought process, multiple times through the later chapters of the book. Her words can be applied to many of us, facing a multitude of difficulties we are trying to change (or maybe don't realize we need to change). "We change our reality many times during our lives. You had a child reality and with it, psychic and physical limitations. And then you get into your adolescent reality with your changed body and mind."

While it is undeniable that Steve was my favorite character, Professor Whitney picked my interest. He was one of those people who influence change but do not get the recognition. I appreciated how he led and organized the protests at Brown University. He equally provided a lot of guidance to Steve as he was trying to gather evidence on the corrupt members of the Brown University leadership. While still being very self-preservative, I think he was a major reason why Steve was able to bring down the corrupt people in Providence.

Steve caught my interest because he's courageous, he never gave up on fighting for what is right. He even gave up his dream to join the police force. I love Steve's character

Steve Logan, who was pre-set to study law switched career goals and ventured into law enforcement after sitting in on a lecture regarding one police officer that changed the world from within the establishment. Entering into police work for the city of Providence, Steve is hurled into the reality that the world isn't what he has been seeing sitting atop the Brown college hill. As Steve struggles with the corrupt behavior of many cops he tries to reach out to his college friends and girlfriend for help in explaining what is being experienced. Unfortunately, not all are willing to open their eyes to the injustice that surrounds them.

I liked Steve the most. standing up for what was right knowing well that it could have cost him his life and the other cops ganging up on him.

Roxy's transition into a character that possessed strength and boldness was remarkable. Maybe because I'm a tough woman is not something you see everyday. It was fascinating.

I think Steve is the most interesting character. He has the fire in him to change the world. However, some of the time, I felt like giving him a got slap that can wake him up, so that people will stop taking advantage of him. It feels that his girlfriend just does anything to him and gets away with it.
