Based on the review, this memoir is a candid perspective on many topics between the author and Dr. Richard, and is an enjoyable read. Great review!

Reading the summary of this book, I expected a boring, Godly novel, but I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed reading about the author's youthful days, told in such a clean yet captivating way. I felt at one with the writing and formed vivid images of the story as I read along. From reading just the sample, I can tell this is a masterpiece written from a place of love. The author bares precious memories and moments. I appreciated his honesty, especially when he mentioned not being shown a lot of affection by his parents. It takes special courage to share parts of you another person would have kept hidden.

From the review of this book, I have already developed a strong interest to read it. We learn through conversations with people enabling us to have diverse views about issues of life. Please let's open up our heart to learn. Don't be too rigid and conservative to innovations. Congrats to the botd and a captivating review.

This is a great book. I really like the part where religion is view with respect to the different churches without bias. It's good for people who are mainly confused about somethings in life that they could read this book and understand how to view life as it is.

Fishing for Dr. Richard is a non-fiction tale of the numerous encounters of two elderly men, Dr. Richard and Bob Kimmerling, who develop an unlikely bond over the course of their relationship. The book is essentially about the sharing of their individual lives and the impact they have on others. It's an intriguing viewpoint through their eyes. Thanks for the review.

I enjoyed your review. You obviously enjoyed the contrasting views. You mentioned unbiased views a few times. I have to admit I am having trouble fitting this in with conflicting views. I am not saying you are wrong. I think I am going to have to read the whole book to get it.
Thank you for your hard work and honest opinion.

I admire the relationship between Dr. Richard and Bob. It's not everyday you find such type of friendship. The book contains a lot of interesting subject matter that I wouldn't mind divulging. Thanks for the nice review. Congratulations on BOTD.
