Romeo and Juliet is good love story book for young people and teenagers. I found it pretty well written.

Hmmmm, it is a tragedy so well, it is a very sad tale. However, looking at the times then, one can feel the deep sorrow that the story arose then, and even now. However, it is to me a typical Shakespearean book. I mean, look at “King Lear!” I prefer to relate it to some of the inequalities in society, and think there are many lessons to learn. I have always wondered whether there is a possibility that love could drive one the way it did those two. However, great style, right?

Recently read it and even though I know the plot by heart, I felt every single emotion one could through the book

I am a big Shakespeare fan. I have always loved Romeo and Juliet. I have read it a few times and seen several different versions of the play in theaters. Shakespeare writes the story of their romance so beautifully.

I've read the book and frankly, I think it would have been a lot more enjoyable if Shakespeare didn't make it a tragedy. Then again, most Shakespearean books are.

Romeo and Juliet is one of my favourite Shakespeare novel and I've read it countless times though I don't like the ending. I'd still love to read it if I had the chance

I have heard lots of criticism from this book that is why I did not dared to read this book. Because I've read a lot of romance already with different twist and I don't want to scarred this book (cause i might find this book cringe). I feel sorry so, give me your insights cause maybe there's something more about this!

Ahh!!! I am truly annoyed by the stupidity in this book. Some certain things shouldn't even be done and love shouldn't be used as an excuse.

I had barricades over my heart till I read this book. Love couldn't be any purer. Though I now see them dying for each other as a stupid act.

Seems a bit ridiculous and exaggerated in the beginning but makes you feel so many emotions towards the end

I like Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet is a good book, but I prefer happier works like Much Ado About Nothing. I've only read Romeo and Juliet a couple of times, and yes there is a lot of emotion in each reading.

Romeo and Juliet was the first Shakespeare play we were introduced to in school, and it paved the way for my love of Shakespeare. I love the language and the story. It is not my favourite play by Shakespeare, that would be Macbeth, but it is a work of literary art. I am delighted that both of my children have also studied it in school, although they were not fans of the genre.
