I really liked the rich language of Secchia's prose and I sometimes laughed at Blitz's amusing thoughts and observations as a dragon observing human conduct. But I felt that Secchia's effort to make his prose sound more conversationally with short sentence fragments backfired. I felt that his choppy sentence fragments were hard to understand and that they often interrupted the flow of his otherwise sleek and elegant prose.

The cover is strikingly beautiful. You could spot it from a mile away and want to read it. I love the idea of this book. Having the dragon be your MC is so fresh and exciting. From a sampling, this seems like an interesting fantasy novel about a dragon that wants to have a better reputation and the princess that he kidnapped for ransom, but when they develop an unlikely relationship things might be different. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

An entertaining fantasy story book "Call me Dragon" by Marc Secchia, which follows Blitz the Devastator has the unfortunate reputation of being a woefully unaccomplished dragon. Nice entertainer.
