In every country, students are direct recipients of whatever chaos that's happening. The displacements and having one's life put on hold could be daunting.

This is entirely correct. Young people in university have their whole lives ahead of them. They have not yet been able to carve out a life for themselves. When the government declares a shutdown, war, or strike- students on the precipice of adulthood are affected the most. Their lives and futures can change significantly overnight.

This is sadly true. Students are often at the receiving end of whatever the government does. Likely because aside from perhaps the homeschooled ones, students are often entirely dependent on their institutions. They have no power in society and so have no choice but to be at its mercy. As someone who was forced out of school for nearly a year as a result of a government strike, I have experienced that helplessness and despair although on a much smaller scale than that described in the book.

I believe that the world is challenging for students, particularly when the elder age doesn't get it. There is a vacuum in society since it appears that students are not understood or even given adequate space to express their feelings. To prevent riots, I believe they ought to be involved in the process.

It's a pity that innocent students have to bear the brunt of bad actions of the government. Students will always suffer the consequences of the poor decisions made by the government of that nation.

I think it's a difficult world for students especially when the older generation fails to understand them .Students seem not to be understood or even given enough room to express their feelings thus creating a gap in the society.I think they should be part of the process to avoid riots.

Governments fear students. The growing minds of the students, when in unison, have the power to change the course of inequality. They know the explosive potential of a students’ movement. Hence the violence against students.

These are the norms in most institutions of higher learning. There should an alternative to dispersing violent crowds of students rather than shooting. Students will always react to the actions of government and the government will always want to enforce their sovereignty. There is never a balance

The issue of innocent people being harmed by widespread political mishaps is still present today. Even if it shouldn't, there is still a lack of effective management.

I think the killing of students was wrong. It beats me why government responds to the cry of the people with bullets and beatings.

Those students were harmless and could not destroy the government or the country. They just wanted to live better lives and learn in peace. Their murder is not justifiable.

I believe everyone, whether young or old, is affected by government's decision. But it's the students who are more vocal in their opposition and quick to demonstrate about it.

It is. But they are also the first ones to react to injustices. There's a famous quote that says "At twenty, if you are not an idealist, then you don't have a heart. And if you continue being an idealist at forty, then you don't have a brain.” I don't exactly believe that but students are more prone to still believing they can change the world. They take action and the government usually doesn't like that. This happens in a lot of countries. I know it happened in mine, where an infamous massacre took place in 1968, and the protestors were, mainly, students.
