The best exercise for losing weight is to push yourself away from the table.

When picking an ethnic food place a good sign is seeing people of that nationality as customers...if it's only white people the staff might not worry about authentic so much...

I remember they used to say eat where the truckers eat. But thats a myth, Ive eaten at some pretty crummy truck stops. I found go where the crowds are, they are usually the best. I guess that could be a rule of life, Never eat at an empty resturant.

Unless your mother is Italian in which case, yes her cooking WILL always be better, your wife needs to accept it gracefully

Not my wife. If I said anything about her cooking, I would probably be wearing it.

Actually a good rule for women in serious yet fairly new relationships, especially if future Mom in Law is Italian, ask her to teach you how to cook...make her happy, make your partner happy win-win!
It was established from the beginning I couldn't cook to save my life and hubby does it effortlessly...of course his mother always felt I was starving him...ah well, can't please everyone

When I was married the first time, my wife couldnt boil water without burning it. Her mother was a great cook, but she never taught her girls much about it. She cooked, the girls cleaned up. She eventually learned and became a reasonably good cook. My last wife was a gourmet cook, she even wrote a cookbook and had it published. Sadly, her health was bad and she couldnt do a lot the time I was married to her. But what she did cook was fantastic.

Rules of life, cant really think of anything right now except on a first date never tell your date for a fat girl you sure dont sweat much.

Same to you, LB.

Never use the restroom without first checking for toilet paper.

When raising children, as much as you plan...the absolute most joyful moments will happen spontaneously when you least expect them...tonight my girl had a bunch of new silly decals for her room...one was a set of girly eyes that she gave to me. I went in my room and being something of an artist..found a place for them on my side of the bed...then added some delicately arched eyebrows, my daughter came in with a girly mouth sticker complete with fangs...she drew on a nose...then together we added multi-colored wavy hair with markers...such a wonderful time!

Always read a book or see a movie that the critics have panned...same for restaurants...

Most pp /criticsl have an " agenda " and are often not even aware of it...

I never listened to critics much. Ive found they give movies I dont like great reviews and movies they call crap are among my favorites. I must not have any taste.

Never use an uninsulated electric drill while lying on wet grass. I learned that the hard way.
