Thank you so much for this review I love strong women and Natalie sounds like a real fighter. The fact she looks after the family at such a young age I really want to read the book now and find out more about Natalie's character!

This fiction story is addressing real-life situations. Else am just carried away with it. These are beneficial works of fiction. Not only do they entertain but they educate also. Great work. Thanks for the nice review.

It's an interesting coming of age story. Natalie 's story is intriguing. I would like to know how she's able to gain her freedom from an abusive step-father . Thanks for a wonderful review.

Natalie's life in the mid 1950s Australia seems to have been very interesting.

Thank you for the great review.

This emotional, character-driven story sounds like it is very realistic. I do wonder: is Ironbark Hill Saga a compilation of Ironbark Hill, Irma's Daughters, and Joey, or a spinoff? I ask because I have those three books. Great review!

Interestingly, the book is historical fiction and it's written from the character's POV. But, I like a good dose of suspense in a book. I also think it would have made the book better. Still, if I get the chance, I'll read it. Good review.

Thank you for giving such a comprehensive picture of what a reader could expect to dive into, should they choose to read this book. It sounds very interesting- I don't know much of Australia and would like to know more. The warning that it lacks zest will have me choosing this book only if I'm wanting a slower change of pace.

I believe this book merges at least two earlier books. I have not read either, but I have sampled both. I know Linnane has a gift for writing magical descriptions of people and places. I also have a soft spot for Australia, so I hope to eventually read Natalie's story.

I think this storyline is based on the famous "grass to grace notion". The lack of suspense in the book might hinder a reader's anticipation. However , the characters description are commendable.
Great review.
