Am already a lover of fictional novels. It's also admirable that you took out time to browse on what happened during the period where the author wrote about. I'm going for this definitely. Nice review

Historical fictions interest me alot. I like the plot twist of the book and the storyline too.
A touch of romance in war themed book is always appreciated.
Great review.

I am excited to read that the author didn't try to force things or fate's on the characters; the characters were allowed to explore things by themselves, and to experience the outcomes in whatever form it may be. I applaud the author for this. This is one of the things that make realistic stories.

From the review, it seems the book is full of suspense which makes it interesting. It also seems to include romans in the midst of war. I may read it in the future. Thanks for the review.

The book seems interesting and fast-paced with lots of events that will keep you on edge till the very end of the book; besides the romance between the main characters will add to the excitiment of the book. But war fiction is not my cup of tea, still I'm sure the book will find its reader. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

The Review is very well written and gives you enough details about the story to give you an idea if it is your type of book or not, but it is also written in a way that captures your attention. It made me feel like reading this book just to go through all the twists and turns and to find out how each character is affected!

You have definitely interested me on reading this book!

Wow, this book has captured my heart. War novels continue to have a special emotional rawness that is unmatched by any other emotional work. Anthony Doerr's All The Light We Cannot See is one such intense work that captured my attention.
This one will undoubtedly be read by me as well. I salute the writer.

European history at the time when Nazis were at peak has always been fascinating. But Unfortunately I personally have no interest in war stories and historical fictions. Sorry but I will be giving it a pass. Congrats on BOTD.

This book tells a story of an event that happened during the Second World War involving Rome and occupation. That sounds very scary in itself, so I’m curious to read this book.

After reading about a hundred pages, I had to stop . But only for the moment, since the novel is absolutely delightful and I am going to read it to the end. The review confirmed my feelings about the fact that both plot and characters are well-drawn and the style flows nicely.

I am glad that someone finally made a war story. I obviously don't think it will be as good as the classics, considering that this is also fiction and not based on the real life expériences of actual people, but it's worth giving it a try.

Historical romances of this nature have never been something I've picked up to read, but the author presented the book in a way that made it seem wonderful. I have to agree with this review, the author has a way of making readers fall in love with the characters. I really loved the author's style of writing. It was so easy to become absorbed in the story. It had this beautiful, almost nostalgic, feel to it, as though the author had experienced everything. Stepping into the room with Francesca felt like stepping into a movie. It was so easy to picture everything.
