The title is appropriate but not fascinating enough.

I've read this book a while ago, but I still sometimes wonder how come the author decided to choose this title. I'm glad I'm not the only one! In my opinion, it is not really related to the story. Even as the metaphor of Adam's mind, I don't think it's quite fitting. I do agree that Descendant would be a better title.

I think on it's own Opaque is a good title for a book, but I agree that it isn't a good fit for this book.

Maybe opaque describes Adam's ability to cloak his supernatural powers and hide his core. It was said during the first meeting at Afrax that other members were not able to detect his core.

I did like the book, but I was a little confused by the title also. Perhaps it was referring to the necessity of keeping everything secret?

Just the way contemporary movies that have a one-word tittle pull me, "Opaque" did. On reading the book I realised that the plot didn't exactly fit the tittle.
