Kate, a young widow, lives in a townhome she bought after the death of her husband. Her neighbor, Helen, talks her into going to a conference with her grandson, Nick. Neither Kate nor Nick are crazy about the idea, but they do not want to hurt Helen’s feelings by refusing. Nick is wealthy and the most eligible bachelor in town. However, he does not trust women, and he thinks they are only after his money. Kate's first impression of Nick is that he is conceited and a jerk. On the first night of the conference, Kate decides to wear a blue dress instead of the red dress Nick had purchased and told her to wear to the reception. Nick gets upset and tells her she is two sizes bigger than his ex-girlfriend. Between his comment and her getting sick, their time together at the conference is a total disaster. However, they discover they are attracted to each other. To find out if a relationship is possible between Kate and Nick, read Just for the Money by Teagan Meier.

There were multiple things I liked about this book. Firstly, the author has developed Helen and Karen as strong female characters. These two women know what they want and are full of confidence. Secondly, the author includes humor in the narrative by using phrases like “get back on the horse.” This one made me chuckle. Thirdly, the book demonstrates the importance of a first impression. First impressions can be positive or negative. Finally, the proverb “all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” made me realize what type of person Nick was.

There was nothing I disliked about this book. The book is well written, humorous, and the plot flows smoothly. The author grabbed my attention in the first few pages, and it was hard for me to put the book down. I wanted to know if Kate and Nick would have a positive relationship or not.

I only found three small non-distracting errors in the entire book, and the book appears to have been edited by a professional editor. I enjoyed reading the book, and a professional editor could have easily missed the three errors. I gladly this book 4 out of 4 stars.

I recommend this book to readers over the age of 18 who like romance stories. I do not recommend this book to younger readers because of the nonborderline profanity and the sexual content. The sexual content is exotic and may be offensive to some readers.

Nick sounds like a jerk! But once in a while I love reading a light romance to get my mind off of things.
Great review!

I like stories where the characters don’t get along at first but later realize they have feelings for each other. I may have to read this.

Wow I really appreciate well written reviews and I commend the reviewer
This is going to be a good read and I compelled to read this already. I also like the stylized look of the cover art and it’s intact what attracted me to it.
Great job to the author.

Nick has some work to do in convincing me to like him. Based on what I know about him thus far, he doesn't seem like a likable guy. I'm interested to see where the story takes his character and his relationship with Kate. Thanks for the great review!

I like that she wore a blue dress, instead of the red one. The guy sounds bossy! Thanks for the review.

I know I would slap anyone who told me I was two sizes bigger than his ex. I would think twice before dating such a conceited jerk. 😂
But the path I’ve chosen has always been the right one, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. :)

It should be interesting to read how Kate and Nick find out that they are attracted to each other. And also whether their relationship is going to last. This book is definitely going on my bookshelves. Thank you for the review.

I think Nick was right to harbor such thoughts as most women out there fit that description like a glove. It is a good approach to let the right woman prove herself, break the misconceptions, and eventually win you over. Just like how they (women) could lead you on to see how long you can keep up before they are satisfied that you are the man who'd stick by her no matter what. Nice review.

The plot sounds intriguing and I love strong female characters in a book. Especially if there is a lot of humor in the book and the story flows smoothly. Great review.
