Mona's character is adorable. Unfortunately, she went through an undeserved condition. I feel for Peter for being posed in such a challenging and anguishing time. It's worth it to write this book. Thanks for the nice review.

This memoir is about Mona and has a superstitious aspect that is one of a kind. I especially like how kind and courageous Mona is described. I feel like many would find this book quite endearing as the author did an admirable job at depicting Mona. Congrats on the BOTD!

When we talk about cancer, we often think about the struggle the person who has it goes through; but here, we can see it as a whole, the family unit going through all the pain and suffering. I was a caregiver too, for my father and my fianceé, and I related the author's story with mine. i really recommend it.

So Mona dies?(is dead?) I've not gotten that from the review, is it a spoiler? Anyway, this sounds like something I wouldn't enjoy. The whole aspect of superstition isn't something I like to read about. But I think it takes some great love and affection to write a memoir about someone. And that's the feeling I'm getting from Peter

I'm not into memoir, but I admit that every story has lovely and inspiring messages. I just don't like to read a real life story with sad ending. I can't get over it. I have no idea whats logjam mean. Having phobia of death while dying from cancer is the worst experience. Nice review.

This book sounds like a sweet tribute to the author’s wife and a testament to the strength of one family during trying times. It’s also good to hear that the author managed to incorporate humor. Thank you for the helpful review.
