This book, Hattie Vavaseur by M. Rebecca Wildsmith, is like a ticket to the 1920s and a mysterious, ghostly world for the readers. One fine day when our protagonist got into her car with a considerable amount of missing memories, little did she know her life was about to change. For the better or worse? You will have to read this book to find that out. But, before that, as a sneak peek, you should know that her further journey is going to be far from normalcy. She is going to solve a handful of mysteries with a couple of quirky people that she meets after reaching a large, old, and unknown mansion while trying to find missing pieces of her memory. It's not going to be easy, but it is going to be worth it.

I liked Hattie's personality. The author has done an outstanding job in using imagery to describe it, along with her incredible journey. As I progressed through the book, the sequentially unfolding mysteries that begin right from the first chapter kept encaptivating me. From humor and love to mystery and thrill, this book contains most of the elements that I desire in a book. I especially liked this book's ending. It brought together and tied all the loose ends of the life story of our protagonist, Hattie Vavaseur, and made me feel content.

There is nothing that I disliked about this story. Although the extensive use of informal words did not feel the best, it did not bring down my reading experience. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Hattie Vavaseur by M. Rebecca Wildsmith. Also, it was nice seeing an elderly lady as the protagonist.

As I could only find one minor editorial error in this book, which did not hamper my read, I can say that the author, M. Rebecca Wildsmith, has ensured professional editing for this book. Based on all things mentioned above that I felt about this book, Hattie Vavaseur, I give it a rating of 4 out of 4 stars.

I recommend this book to people who like the mixture of thrill, horror, humor, and romance. People who get excited at the mention of supernatural stories would enjoy reading this book. There is no use of profanity or the inclusion of explicit scenes in this book, so I can say it is suitable for a wide range of people, but it has some descriptions of violence that sensitive readers might want to avoid.
