Christianity revolves around the question of 'what if.' Say I'm a non-believer. There is always the looming question of 'what if I'm wrong?" What happens to me after death, then? For believers (and this is just one example), there is the question of 'what if my faith wavers or I turn to sin?" Am I still bound for heaven if I'm 'saved?' I would say the book most likely stirred thought in quite a few individuals; in many cases, all it takes is solid thought on the question. "What if..."
Books are my self-medication. 8)

This is very well said. I am no a believer myself, and I am not yet done with the book. I will definitely like to see how it affects me.

I haven't read the book but I'm always thinking of what ifs. I don't want to live with regrets :hand:

I am a believer, and this book gives me more reasons to believe. I feel like it would even change the mindset of some non-believers.

I am a believer and I think that there's no way you'll read this book and it won't stir your thoughts. I believe Miracles happen. They are everywhere.

I am a believer and for me I was thrilled by the author's words. Nothing changed but It was more like an added tool for me to maintain my faith.

I do not know what my belief is called. I do not believe in any god but I respect them all. The question of "what if" is a serious one. After reading this book, I cannot say that my belief has changed much, but I have a deeper understanding of things now.

I am a Christian, but this book just backed up my feelings about and belief in my religion. It showed yet another example of God's power in our lives and how faith in him is able to get us through tough times in our lives.

I grew up in a conservative, WELS denomination Lutheran home, attending a small, private school until I graduated high school. I was never allowed to really question anything; I was more or less just told what was right and wrong and what to believe. When I moved out and did my own self exploration and self discovery, I (re)found God on my own terms, but in a different light. This book solidified my newfound spiritual beliefs as opposed to what I used to think was correct in the eyes of God.

I am a believer and being a believer doesn't make you less reasonable or logical. One can raise pertinent questions on faith and religion without getting dilute on their own faith and belief system. The author is convincing in his words on God, the love for true devotions, and the magic of miracles when you believe on the goodwill of the compassionate Almighty.
