I don't think a single person can stop corruption. But in the case of steve, even if he could do it, he would surely suffer.

As single person can't single-handedly stop corruption, they can surely influence others and slowly bring about a change. Like Durk said in the book, if Durk is there, at least there is the presence of conscience that they are doing something wrong.

It's possible but very difficult, just like in the case of Steve. You need to be steadfast and gain people's trust.
Finally and most importantly, prepare yourself for the worst.

This reminds me of Nelson Mandela when I read his story I saw alot of challenges he passed through before he could achieve what he wanted. One man can effect change all that is needed is determination, decision and consitency .

I think it can be done, but it is very difficult. It would probably take a lot of time and that person would undergo a lot of stress. I don't think it is a good decision for one's mental health and I don't think that the results are worth all this trouble because one should always put their own health first, especially when it comes to mental health. While a lot of people tend to ignore it, mental health is highly important. It is what influences a lot of other areas of our lives.

I don't think it is possible for a single person to stop corruption in a large organization, except the person resorts to extreme measures that may change the person in the future. The best way to go about it is to be an example and gradually get people in the organization to see things from your perspective, which may not still be enough.

I do believe that the efforts and dedication of a person can stop corruption in a organization. but I also believe that he would need the help of others who have been swayed by his beliefs and discipline to truly stop corruption because one person can only be a catalyst for change.

One person does have the power, as said in the book, to be the conscience for that one station. There's always change occuring and that person can be the leader whom others will follow as an example.

A single person cannot stop corruption it requires a joint effort to achieve this. With hard work and diligence, it will motivate others to follow in your stead.

I don't think one person can effect a change except you are at the top of the organization, that's when there is a fighting chance. My humble opinion though.

In my opinion, it is impossible for one person to put an end to corruption. For the change to be noticeable and effective, the majority must do this.

i think it could definitely be possible, as long as this person has the right personality, an authoritative and strong one. people like to find a leader that gives them the right ideas and follow them, so it not only could be possible, but highly plausible

I don't think one person alone can stop corruption in an organization. However, Steve stood firm in his beliefs and that's definitely admirable. And that faith is what can stop corruption, in my opinion. It can spread of influence those around us, and eventually, many people will be able to work together to change a larger group.

I do believe one person can be the change and make change happen. It will definitely be a lot harder if he is alone, but with consistency I do believe change can happen and more can be moved to the correct side of the line, instead of just keeping quiet or looking the other way. I read a thing the other day about a smile - someone was walking and caught the eye of a stranger, the stranger smiled and the lady returned the smile instantly. While walking she kept smiling without even realizing it and a few steps later she made eye contact with a different stranger, that person instantly smiled back and the smiled stayed on that person's face. She then realized that just by smiling, she can "affect" others to smile as well, and that smile will keep moving from person to person and she wondered how far her smile would travel.

For me yes, a single person can stop corruption in an organization.though it won't be an easy journey because its a one man mopol , but with determination and courage the goal can be achieved ...
