Re: Tattoos
The fact that someone can be so passionate about something that they would permanently tattoo something on their bodies makes it special.
Love the artwork.

People are too critical. If you don't want tattoos then I don't judge. I'm happy for you that you don't feel the need to conform and get a tattoo just because everyone else is doing it. If you do have tattoos then I like to look at the beauty of them. Some people just feel the need to voice an opinion on everything. Tattoos and piercings are very prevalent in other cultures. Some children are pierced as young as 2 or 3 in other Asian and African cultures and that's not for anyone to say it's wrong or right.

There might be some monk out on a mountain somewhere who has a purely undefiled body but I don't know where he's at

Then you have the guys with four letter words on their knuckles and inked eyelids...Lil Wayne wouldn't even be able to get a job at Walmart if he was in the real world...I've seen women too who flaunt their already questionable taste in ink...but those are the extremes. not tattooing in general.

My stepdad is a marine, and has a few tattoos, he spent some time in Iraq and he and his friends have different tattoos all with something camouflage on them. Sort of a sense of camaraderie really.Loveabull wrote:It's possible to look at tattooing from another perspective...not "defiling" your body but rather enhancing it. Nobody can really say they haven't sullied their body temple to some degree or another...tanning one's skin, wearing heels, pierced ears, even the compounds in makeup and deoderant or eating just about anything other than roots and berries...

If you find an original design that has lasting meaning for you, a tattoo can be empowering.

I have to say, I'm not a huge fan of massive tattoos on women. I like mine because they are small and quite delicate. Personally I wouldn't have big ones going down my arms and stuff, but it's up to the individual. My partner isn't a fan of tattoos, but he wouldn't tell me I can't have them done.
