In my opinion the love relationship between Steve and Roxy is unhealthy. There wasn't clear communication between the both of them. And what's a relationship where there's poor communication? It leads to cheating and insecurities and bitterness.

It was clearly toxic, especially on Roxy's side. The relationship between them didn't feel genuine. Also, Steve was ready to do whatever pleased his girlfriend, but on the other hand, she didn't appreciate it and took it for granted.

It started young and healthy, they were new to it and slowly, due to lack of communication and trust, they drifted apart. Cannot be called completely toxic but somewhat toxic.

I don't exactly think it was toxic, but I do believe it wasn't healthy. The relationship mainly revolved around Roxy and her needs and wants. Although Steve made the choice to stay and become an office, I do believe being near Roxy is what persuaded him in the end to help with his decision as he wanted to make a difference, but he was still doubting himself.

I think Steve must be humble enough to confess to Roxy what he is really experiencing inside the police department. Opening up your feelings no matter how hard it is, is the key to better communication. I think their love is real. Because when Roxy found out all about the corruption that Steve has gone through, she expresses her desire to be with Steve again.

I think it was a healthy relationship because all relationships have up and downs and that is what makes them strong that's my opinion.

This love story is not a good one. It is not only toxic to Steve and Roxy, but to the readers as well, or at least this is what I think. The two characters are just not able to understand each other. I would have focused on other things rather than on this relationship, also because at times I found it repetitive.

He tries to please her a lot and prioritizes her wellbeing over his many times but I don't think that it's because she is forcing him to and I don't think he's doing it to force her into anything. He believes that she needs him this much
I would not say toxic, but a bit unhealthy, yes. They needed more communication between them.

I would say that their love was toxic because they kept a lot of secrets away from each other they were not just comfortable sharing secrets because of a lack of trust.

Their love was not healthy. Roxy took Steve for granted too much and there was barely communication between the two.

I totally agree with you. A healthy relationship requires a lot of trust and communication from both parties. In Steve and Roxy's case, I think theirs was a bit toxic.

I'd agree with you that Steve and Roxy's relationship was never healthy. They never seemed to really trust each other. I would say they were companions rather than a couple

Honestly, there were so many instances where Steve didn't talk to her at all about what he was living in the police force, he would always brush it off for tomorrow. Serious communication issues. Granted, they both have their issues and troubles they needed to figure out individually, but there was a codependency there, specially after she cheated on him, and he still wanted to be with her so desperately. Steve wanting to protect her like a little girl from all the things that would hurt her seemed somewhat patronizing. Also, they were young, didn't have too much experience with love. At the beginning they were sweet together, but I think they might have gone too fast, moving in after a few months together. I also think she didn't try to understand him as best when he started working at the police force, she would constantly make him aware that his friends didn't like hanging out with him around, I feel maybe she could have stood up for him more with their friends

I feel that their relationship was both healthy and toxic. But at the end of the day, things played out the way they did because they began to lack communication, due to Steve's job.

I feel like Steve loved Roxy more than she loved him. This caused him to compromise more for her.
