Meldorath Delehei served King Wilhelm of Voulhire as a General of the Voulhirian Southern Army for several years. Meldorath left the esteemed office to take on a minor position in the southern coastal village of Hillport before ascending to sovereignty there. He resigned and chose Hillport as his place of settlement as Chief Magistrate. Meldorath arrived one night at the castle, stormed it on his own, and declared himself lord. The clever and powerful Mage-General was now called "Lord Meldorath." When caught conducting vile experiments on people, Meldorath was sent to King Wilhelm to be executed.

Lord Eldus was then declared the new Lord of Hillport by the king of Voulhire, where he moved to the castle with his family, his wife, Charlotte, and his children, Isla and Marshus. In the castle, they met the senior servant, Beverly, who, with her knowledge of the castle and all that happened in the past, helped the new Lord understand his predecessors. But will the Lord be able to bring Hillport back to its original state? What became of the New Lord and His Family? Was he a match to the mighty Lord Meldorah? Find out more in the book.

Matthew Tysz's We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies is an ongoing series and a well-written work of thriller filled with suspense, fantasy, and magic. It has a typical epic or traditional setting in the fictional city of Voulhire, with Soulhire as its capital. The story begins with an uproar between the well-known Magistrate, Meldorath (the all-powerful and clever mage), and the Castle Guards of Hillport as he makes his way to the Chambers of Lord Orlin to reprimand him for his monstrous acts. The setting and characters are pretty interesting. Despite the many characters in the story, each character's role was well-developed.

It was amazing how the author described every magic scene in the book. This was playing in my head like a 3D movie, especially the communication scene between Meldorath and Eldus, with Meldorath responding via simple mystical writing in a book in Eldus' Study. I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation between Galen and his friend, Rowan, his uncle's executor, who passed on to Galen all his uncle had left for him, including the house. Galen had to continue his uncle's legacy of becoming a blacksmith, using his uncle's manual that Rowan gave him. Along the way, in their quest, they met Demetrius, a monk/imburer, through a priest, Bartrus. Their relationship was described as good, though Galen had to be careful who he trusted, as Demetrius had clarified that to him. They were characters that made the story more exciting and fun.

I loved the proficient characters of Lord Eldus and his family. They also made the book really fascinating, especially Isla and Marhius (the children). The flirtatious character of the king's son, prince Darius, wasn't all that palpable to me. All the fights and magic scenes appeared to be very real. The diction, tone, and mannerism of the characters in the book were all exceptional. I must commend the author. The plot reveals suspense, making any reader clamour for more until the entire series is completed. Other series are mentioned in the book.

There were no errors in the book. This attests to its exceptional editing. However, I wasn't satisfied with using vulgar words at some points, especially during conversations with Galen and Rowan. This is a book I can rate four out of four stars. A variety of Voulhirian cities mentioned would indeed sound strange to anyone. But this problem was solved at the end of the book, where you can find a glossary of terms, concepts, and names unique to the world of Voulhire. All are in alphabetical order. I wouldn't recommend children read this book, but adults who are fantasy lovers and enthusiastic about magic might enjoy it—a great way to relax and ease stress.

I really liked the fact that the summary part of your review discussed the character Meldorath rather than Galen. Most of the other reviews emphasize on Galen's journey where you chose to described the book by emphasizing on Meldorath's journey which for me is really fresh to read. Another thing about your review that is so relatable for me is the 3d movie part, i felt the same while reading the book as well. Well done.
