My son read these books as soon as the started coming out. At first I had no interest in reading them, then one day there was nothing really on tv, so I watched the first HP movie, and that was all it took. After that I started reading the books, and read all the ones that were out at the time within a week. After that, I made sure I was always at the book store on the day of release to get the new book. HP is definitely one of my favorite series.

This series really gripped me! I'm not keen on the idea of wand and witches etc, but the way it is written means its hard to actually put the books down. After every great book you read, once its finished you just don't know what to do with yourself, and no book compares to this epic adventure I have just finished

I love the Harry Potter books. They give so much detail allowing us as readers to form a mental picture in our heads, but they also dont give to much detail, allowing us to still put our own personal touches on what we think certain things would look like in real life.

I've read hundreds of books since HP and the series still rates in my top ten. :-)
If I didn't write, I'd never sleep.

My favorite harry potter book was probably prisoner of azkaban, and the order of the phoenix. they were so fast pace i couldn't help but be drawn into the world. thankfully i was smart and i read the books before ever watching the movies, but i definitely imagined the characters as they were in the books, especially hermione and Harry.

I loved the movies! I read up to and through Order of the Pheonix, but I found that I spent most of the first half of the book recapping the series so far. I don't know about the rest of you, but I start a new book to get a new part to the story not the same one. For me I found her writing a little too long winded, but like I said that's my opinion. That's also not to say I won't try to read her other books she comes out with.

I preferred the earlier books in the series. The later ones were not as interesting. Although I do remember reading it all day and all night till I had finished it, regardless of whether I had an exam the next day . I also reread the books before I saw the movie. These were the only books I pre ordered.

So when I was younger I sort of missed out on the HP hype. I just started the series last year, and I absolutely love it. I have to take breaks in between the books though because of all of the information and action that happens in one book. I haven't read the last book yet, but it's on my bookshelf ready to be read! :)

I began reading the books about a year or two before the movies, and I grew up with them. I think I enjoyed them as much as I could.

My favorite book of all time! This series is practically the reason why I love to read. Started reading this even before they announced that they'll be making movies for it. This series is my childhood. And now with the news that there'll be a film series, it's like the inner kid within me is jumping for joy for the new information about the world that I was/am so in love with.

I have enjoyed Harry Potter since I was a little girl. The Order of the Phoenix was always my favorite! I cannot wait until the new movie comes out. Though they are never as good as the books, it is the closest series I have found that relates to the movies.
