Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer is a book on how to reconfigure one's life and plan ahead for retirement. In the book, the author addresses the problems attached to retiring without a proper plan, the proper steps to take towards retirement, the types of investments one can venture into before retiring, and why some people have to work after being retired. The author, being a financial advisor who has spent more than twenty years helping people plan for retirement and managing mutual fund portfolios for clients, calls the attention of readers to the strategies for having a comfortable life after retirement.

In case you are in search of an informative book on the plans, platforms, and steps to take for a better life after retirement, this is the right book for you. To learn about something, it is best to learn from those who know about it. Alan presents himself as a qualified person on the issues of retirement. He presents himself as a competent writer by calling the attention of readers to any form of digression. He also includes some touches of humor to avoid boredom.

Apart from being informative, this book is very motivating and encouraging as well. I learned a lot of things to do and things to avoid. Do you know that one's most important asset is one's ability to earn income? The process of reconfiguring starts with income. Without income, reconfiguring can only be tough, not impossible. Alan gave a lot of information on investments, types of trusts and bonds, mutual funds, and so on. He also gave statistical backups to buttress his opinion in some cases.

I have no negative comments against this book. Normally, I expect it to be boring, but that is not the case. It is as if the author is doing a one-on-one talk with the reader. He included some humor and tips in the form of food for thought. What I actually like most in this book are the helpful platforms mentioned and the links to helpful materials given by the author. I applaud the author for this. It shows that he's interested in the reader's personal growth and development.

The main message communicated in this book was simple & direct; reconfigure your life and plan ahead for tomorrow. I'd give this book a full rating of 4 out of 4 stars. The book was exceptionally well-edited, as I could not find any errors in the book.

This book is a must-read for people, especially the working class, who want to know one or two things about retirement. Young adults and mature readers interested in bonds, funds, insurance, financial policies, and other related matters should do well to collect this book as well.

Retirement is a phase of life people do not plan for until its too late. I believe books like these should be mandatory to give people more insight into life after work. I look forward to reading it.
