Anyone with great hair is attractive to me, and great hair means thick.
Andrew O'Hagan (Our Fathers) is pretty attractive in person, too. And Salvadore Plascencia (The People of Paper). Their books are fantastic.
I'll let the boys chime in about the women writers.

It's a hard question to answer because we usually do not see authors.
