When a mysterious woman going by the name of Lana Englehart makes an offer to Private Investigator Robert Klayman, he is dubious and questions the veracity of the offer. As he is in dire need of money, he accepts the offer and an immediate payment to work on a cold case for Ms. Englehart. Little does he realize, though, that Ms. Englehart might not be who she claims to be. What schemes does she have planned for Robert Klayman, and who exactly is she? Find out by reading Deadly Habits by G.J. Prager and get engrossed in a world of crime, mystery, revenge, and deceit.

Deadly Habits is an action-packed and adventure-filled novel that meets the reader's expectations for books in its genre. It is the fourth installment in the Robert Klayman Crime Thriller Series. I applaud the author's ability to create a realistic story that ushers the reader into the life and dealings of a private investigator. He was able to vividly convey the actions and settings in the story such that the reader could easily envision and relate to the occurring events. His writing style was straightforward and easy to grasp. I must not forget to add that I was frequently astounded and impressed by Robert's courage in stepping into potentially fatal circumstances with lurking danger. The characters are well-developed. They are assigned distinct roles and are given credible personalities. This book may be read independently of the other volumes in the series since I was able to understand and enjoy it without prior knowledge of the previous books in the series.

The only thing I didn't enjoy about this book was how it started off a little slow-paced and dragged. It took me a while to get the gist of the story and understand the plot. Also, many of the characters in the novel often went by fake names rather than their real names, creating the effect of too many names in the book and leaving me perplexed as I frequently mistook one character for another.

While reading, I discovered a few minor errors that would necessitate another round of editing. Due to the errors I found, I rate Deadly Habits three out of four stars. This book was worth every moment spent on it as it did not fail to deliver in terms of being exciting and enthralling. It sparked a lot of thoughts and was really absorbing.

I recommend this book to crime, mystery, and adventure lovers. Those who have read the other books in the Robert Klayman Crime Thriller Series should also pick up this book as it won't fail to satisfy their curiosities.

I usually don’t like to begin a series with a book that’s in the middle, but you gave it such a good recommendation that I think I will. I really liked the book’s cover, too. It was very eye-catching.

I'm a big fan of crime and mystery, and I'm curious about Lana and the investigator. I think I might just have to pick up the whole series. Thanks for the review.

Wow, I'm intrigued! Did the good Ms. Englehart just pay our guy to investigate her? I can't wait to see how her schemes unfold s. I am silently praying that she has a thing for Robert and wants him to get to know her─I know, it is a weird way to get a date but nothing is impossible in our crazy world, right? Anyway, I look forward to delving into this book and the whole series! Can't wait to uncover Ms. Englehart's schemes. This is a fantastic review. Thanks for the recommendation.

Despite the slow start, this seems like an engaging mystery with vivid descriptions that keep the readers' attention, so I hope the author does another round of proofreading to make it excellent. Thank you for your great review!

A work of adventure, crime, and action. I'd love to know the real identity of Ms. Englehart, and I'd love to know the results of the investigation by the private investigator. Thanks for your honest review.
