I like crime stories but this seems like it was forced or there were shortcuts in the story telling. Thank you for your review!

My favorite trait is the respectful portrayal of a trash collector. As Raoul Martez discovers, the profession requires hard work and doesn’t get the reward it deserves. Greenberg even uses rubbish to initiate commentaries about social class differences. Without being rude, he makes an important point about wasting food: There are many people suffering from hunger around the world. These moments were important since they were thought-provoking.
Even just this, without all the other assets you mentioned, might make the book worth it. We are absurdly wasteful as a society, and we need to learn to place the correct importance on so-called menial jobs because they're essential to our lives.

The cohesion of unrelated events by the author is always a plus as unnecessary frustration on part of the reader is avoided. Thanks for an honest review!

Jerry A. Greenberg’s Murder in the Garbage, to me, is a true reflection of most workplace: underpayment of employees. I will read this book to know what killed the CEO in a trash container.

Being a fan of thrillers, I felt that I should read it. But after reading this review, I felt that the novel might not have the suspense that I am looking for. Especially if Hank Boucher solved the crime easily. If the dialogues were mechanical, then it won't be so interesting to read. Thanks for such a detailed honest review.

It is nice to see a book that portrays a garbage collector as a positive asset to our society. Just imagine what the world would be like without them. Thank you for your review.

The premise of this book is intriguing as it deals with a murder mystery of the CEO who is found dead in the garbage. The book relies heavily on visual descriptions and is at times dry, but it's overall very well edited. I wonder if Hank Boucher is able to find the culprit. Congrats on the BOTD!

They use the trash to smuggle the weapons. Interesting drama there. Is Raoul part of it or is he just as clueless as the rest?

From your review it is difficult to get excited about this book. Yet it should be thrilling because the business of garbage in the U.S. has a mafia connection at some point. It seems you felt that Greenberg is guilty of lazy authorship.

The sudden death of the CEO is quite intriguing. I want to know the actual culprit behind this act. I'm beginning to love crime thrillers but this particular one has some odds which almost outweighs the positive aspects. I'll give this book a second thought before reading. Thanks for the review.

I've always enjoyed crime thrillers. This seems like an enjoyable investigative novel. The life of Raoul Martez seems full of thrilling storylines. Great review
Insofar as the word 'should' even has meaning, then we must say that the past is exactly as it should be, everything that happened should have happened, and everything that should happen will happen

I like crime thrillers and stories with CIA agents, although I don't quite understand the message. Thanks for the review though.

"The writing style is straightforward but often dry. My biggest dislike was the dialogues, which were too mechanical."

The writing was the first thing I noticed when I read the book's sample. I was knew something was off but I couldn't explain. Guess you cleared that up for me. Going by your review, the book also doesn't seem to offer a particularly exciting climax.
Thank you for your honest and detailed review.

Initially, I was somewhat hesitant, because in my culture kids are raised to respect the death, so the mention of garbage in the title, made me envision bodies buried in it and no matter how often this twist is used in stories, it never fails to repulse me. Discovering that the book is mostly about trafficking stolen military weapons and eating habits is quite relieving)) Congratulations on BOTD!
