This book has been on my wish list ever since I first saw the movie because I developed such an attachment to the characters, it made me want to see them in their original written form. A lot of books have been translated into movies, but I have a feeling that this one goes above & beyond as far as accuracy.

I absolutely love this book. I saw the movie first and fell in love with it. Everything was so amazing from the wish dragon to the child-like empress. This was also one of the few movies where everyone in my family sat down and watched it, so I have some pretty strong memories tied to it. When I found out that the movie was based on a book I begged my parents for the book. To me the book was so much better because I could imagine that I was Bastian or any other character in the book. Now that I have children both the book and the movie are a family night staple along with The Princess Bride.

Late to the conversation, but I just realised I'm a terrible contributed to the book economy. Most of my books are either second hand or from the library (we're talking literal economy, right? I just finished a paper and my brain is on a break).

Although happily, I impulsively bought a brand new book two days ago. My wallet's still crying.

<Actually about the book> It's a little embarrassing, but I only read it last year. I really, really enjoyed the book though XD

I saw the movie, but I never read the book. This is one that I'd really like to read with my son and discuss.

This book gives me a chill. I like this part a lot,
If I'm not mistaken, the book itself comes from Fantastica. Maybe at this very moment - who knows? - someone else is reading it.
