There is a limit to the things that your friends can do for you and are willing to do for you but true friendship has no bonds and I believe this book has more thrills and mysteries that are to be uncovered by reading it.

I noticed right away how descriptive the author was when it came to the Romanian culture. If I didn't know any better, I would have thought this book was a diary from a real person. Thanks for the review!

I know almost nothing about Romania let alone what happened when they had communist government. I am eager to learn more about this. I am also eager to see how Jenica, Virginia, and their friends show their true love and maintain their friendships and relationships. Congratulations on BOTD.

This review although generic like all communist struggles around the globe, entices me to read the book. The aforementioned unique twist and turns and the surprise ending challenged me to read on.

"The House of Spark" by Luminita Laflash is a story about true friendship, which is seen when you are in need. The old saying that true friends are there for even when all hope is lost really defines friendship. It is amazing how friends you thought you had abandoned you when something bad happened but your true friends will always be there for you. True friends will risk their lives for you and save you when you need their help and they are definitely worth keeping. Do you trust your spouse to risk their life for you? This is a fictional novel set in Romania during the communist government. Jenica had a date planned with his girlfriend Virginia and he never showed up, not the typical reliable Jenica. What happened to him? Can Virginia and her friends solve the mystery of their missing friend? One needs to read the entire book to learn what happened to Jenica and if Virginia finds him. The book has an average of 5.7 pages per chapter and there are 27 chapters. This should be a quick read. Good review.

A story set during the communist reign in Romania. I'm curious to know how a story about friendship and love will be set against the backdrop of a historical setting. Congrats on botd!

I'm quite curious about the nature of government oppression mentioned at the end of the review. Thank you for the wonderful review.
