The book seems to look into the political climate of Romania in the 1950s. Congratulations on Book of the Day!

Congrats on BOTD. Unfortunately, historical novels are not my cup of tea, especially when they have a political undertone.

A novel with a quite interesting social-political background. I like the touches of suspense around the plot with unexpected twists and turns. The way the author involves you in this search for Jenica makes this book even more interesting for me. Thank you for sharing this review, this is definitely a book I want to read.

. Laflash is correct, a great book is one you can not put down. I was engulfed in the story, not able to put it down. The details were amazing, and I know very little about communism. However, I felt like the last 1/4 of the books was rushed. The details got shorter, there were time gaps. This books could have easily used another 166 pages.

It seems like a great book of a dark period with a gripping story and an equally gripping cover. I’d love to dive into this one and read about Jenica and his girlfriend, Virginia.

Some friends can be better than brothers or sisters. I believe that there are still good people out there who can go extra mile for their friends. Nice review, congrats on BOTD

I do love historical fiction novels. Especially those that portray the cultures of people in the past. Congrats on being BOTD.

I love the book cover! It's aesthetically pleasing. Friends willing to go to the end of the world for you are assets that are meant to be treasured. The storyline is captivating, and I'll love to see how the dictatorship in Romania plays out. Congratulations on being the Book of The Day.

This book goes in line with the popular saying that a friend in need is a friend indeed. Such friends are rare to find. Nice review.

I love historical fiction, maybe not the ones involving freedom struggles, but the book sounds promising as per it's description. Hence, I might give it a read soon. Congratulations on being listed as Book Of The Day.

The title of the book caught my attention immediately and after reading the sample, I'm hooked. I like the fact that it's set in the communist regime of Romania, as I believe that I would learn quite a bit from that history. Another thing I like is the friendship part. Good and unbreakable friendships are very rare today, so I'm interested to see too what lengths the friends will go too, to save Jenica. Thanks for an incredible review.

I enjoyed the review so much I went back and read more of the sample. The premise of a corrupt government, love, and friendship going hand in hand is a good setting for a book. The author makes it easy, interesting reading. I look forward to finding out how their journey ends.

Fictional stories based on historical fact are always the best. I love detective stories with a great storyline and this one seems really promising.

A book on the courage, resilience, and pride of Romanian people who were determined not to give up on their country. Let’s read and find out about the author’s experience.
