There is definitely something fishy going on. That was clear even before they left for Zona. I liked the discovery they made at the end, I cannot say more about that without giving away spoilers.

I absolutely loved this book and the way it was brought alive in my mind! I could see the wolves and experienced the adventures with the author's amazing writing. Definitely worth the 4 out of 4 rating! Well done on a spectacular book and review.

I was already interested in reading this book when I read the summary, but I'm even more eager to read it after seeing this review. Congratulations on being the BOTD.

Book of the day (BOTD)is sci-fi fantasy it's all about a man named Grant who decided to take over his uncle's house after he vanished without a trace?! Only for them to realize he was still alive and was only having an adventurous moment exploring ZONA this place was little know by many because only one man survived there the place was full of mysterious plants and exotic animals (breast) the mixture of science and adventure in it gave it a unique perspective. the author used amazing character that add the beauty color to the book so enjoyable and suspenful to the end . I like how the review simplified it on here that was nice It definitely gave me the urge to read it again because I love scifi _ fantasy story

I think the book has really a lot of violence and is exhausting to read. Thank you though for a thrilling review :tiphat:

I read this book last month and loved it. I understand what you didn't like about the drinking, but I felt it fitted in with the concept of that part of the story. I enjoyed reading another person's view of the book; thank you for a great review.

Zona: The Forbidden Land by Fred G. Baker is one of the best books I have read. A college professor travels to Russia from America in search of his supposedly missing uncle. Great adventure story.

"It was like going on the expedition safely with the team and not being in any danger."- I like that. The situations with the alcohol, sex and Irina- all things that happen in real life too, right? So I feel it has to be accepted. But that's just my opinion. The good thing about the book is that, one can gloss over it, if it feels uncomfortable. I'm impressed with your review and can't wait to read more! Well done!

Adventure is my lifestyle and this will not only be on my shelf, simply because I had a Russian lady and know somewhat the life out there.
Except for the lavish sexual content, it should be and expedition worth noting, I actually at the beginning of the review thought the missing uncle might have decided to get off the grid by not returning and might be found surviving on bare necessities, which I look forward to do myself.
Great review.
