In Reconfigurement, E. Alan Fleischauer concentrated on the topic of retirement and comprehensively elaborated on plans before and after retirement. Many people take on jobs they do not enjoy simply because of the paycheck. The author tried to address this as best as possible. This book was based mainly on planning ahead, doing what you love to do while earning money from it, and living happily before and after retirement. In this work, E. Alan Fleischauer put in links to assessments and tests that cover investments, career types, and other similar issues. According to the book, the average American lives longer now than ever before, and those additional years come with bills. No one wants to work when they are old, so retirement calls for adequate planning, and that is where the ideas posited by the author in Reconfigurement comes in. The author guided the reader on the best route to take while navigating the retirement phase of life. Read this book to gain insight into a variety of concepts relating to work and retirement.

I loved how the division of the chapters in this book was done. The thirteen chapters were each focused on a particular topic. I found it impressive that each of the chapters was straight to the point without additional information irrelevant to the concept being discussed. The author randomly inserted puns and jokes in every chapter, and I found that very refreshing. He also debunked some security myths that a lot of people believed in times past. I also liked that he made the book concise because having a lot of chapters in a book of this nature would have been a major turn-off.

I feel the author should have simplified his explanation of certain concepts because most readers are not financial experts and may not understand those concepts at first glance. Having noted that, I will advise anyone who reads this book to take time to really digest each concept. I had a little difficulty grasping a few chapters as the explanation seemed complex at first, but I eventually understood them all.

I give this book a rating of 4 out of 4 stars owing to the fact that it was written with a clear purpose and exceptionally well edited. Also, the illustrations used by the author were on point. There are a whole lot of things to learn from every part of this book, so it is worth every star.

I recommend this book to people who are concerned about their retirement and financial plans. I also recommend it to people who are just starting out in the work field because I believe it is better to get this information right on time and plan accordingly.
