Cat Detectives in The Korean Peninsula: Diary of a Snoopy Cat, written by R. F. Kristi, is a children's book about Siberian Kitty, Inca. Missy, Inca's human mother, created a delicious new cheese and was invited by a French cooking school, Cordon Bleu Cookery, to present her fabulous cheese and be a judge in a cooking competition between North and South Korea. Inca and family Solo and Terrence meet Ye-Jun, a tour guide supposed to show them where they should stay. He had a dog called Baram, and he felt something was wrong since his sister, Ji, and her cat, Bo-mi, lived in North Korea. Inca and her investigative team learn about Ye-Jun worries and decide to assist in uniting the family. Will they succeed? Read this book and find out.

I liked several aspects of this book that made it interesting to read. Firstly, diagram use, such as the diagrams of the cat detectives and their human mother. Pictures attract children since they like them, encouraging them to read the book. Secondly, the valuable lessons that the book provides teach children and entertain them; for instance, Inca, the Siberian Kitty, and her cat detectives group uniting to help unite the family of Ye-Jun teaches children the importance of teamwork. Finally, the use of animals as characters was impressive. It helps the children appreciate animals and treat them well.

I did not find anything to dislike in this book since it was great. The story is clear. It had flow showing how Inca, the Siberian Kitty, and her group of cat detectives started an investigation to help Ye-Jun unite his family.

I rate Cat Detectives in The Korean Peninsula: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R. F. Kristi four out of four stars. The book was explicitly edited; hence, I found no errors. It had many positive aspects and no negative aspects, which made me give it a perfect rating.

I recommend this book to children aged between 5 to 12 years. The content contained in this book is complex for children below five years, but children above five years would enjoy the book. The book best suits children because of the use of animals as characters and short-structured sentences.
