Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer is a self-help book written for a specific audience. It is an educative book that discusses the importance of planning ahead. It advances the idea of being able to reconfigure your life at any stage and retire without having to worry about financial security. Reconfigurement is a one-stop destination for configuring a well planned future.

Divided into 13 chapters, this comprehensive book gives a detailed idea about personal financing. It not only discusses the prominence of planning ahead but also provides all the necessary details and resources for a great reconfigurement plan. It aims to make every reader able to construct a greater future with a good retirement plan. This book can also be considered a manual as it provides details of all kinds of financing materials. Chapter by chapter, it goes through every nook and corner of the topic orderly. The author also instructs the reader to skip chapters that are not applicable to us as it covers every aspect of the topic. This book can be used to self-educate about personal financing without having to seek the help of a professional.

The biggest positive of this book is that it has a myriad of knowledge about personal financing. Other than that, this book contains a lot of numerical facts to support the author's opinions. The author included real-life examples, mostly of his clients or friends, which are very useful for someone who is starting to plan in advance for retirement life. Because it can give a clear idea of financing mistakes made by most people. The author also provides his own advice and suggestions which helps readers to take better decisions as part of their reconfigurement plan. The only negative of this book is that the author overloaded it with jokes. Although it might be intended for the reader's enjoyment, it was inessential in this book. This book was exceptionally well edited.

Reconfigurement is a book that has the ability to change the mindset of a reader. It is very useful and important in today's world as it shows the necessity of planning ahead. It also encourages the readers to make correct decisions throughout their entire work life. So, I rate this book a 4 out of 4 stars.

This book is targeted at a specific audience. I recommend this to those who are in their middle age, because, as early as you read it, the better it could impact your decisions about configuring your future and planning for a secure retirement.
