We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies, is a story about a kingdom ruled by a somewhat ill-minded leader who satisfies the saying, like father, like son, since he decides to scatter his children by giving them lands away from him and his territory in order to avert a crisis. In the book, we see how the king carries out himself and how he treats his subjects, as well as how they relate to other kingdoms. Mathew Tysz narrates for us many other stories as well.

The book is medieval-based and gives the reader something to reminisce upon since the plot is based in the olden days. The book's setting also dances to the same tune where human beings have not yet embraced civilization in its wholeness and have bowed to the old ways or backward methods of living. The book has a story of the succession of one man, Galen, who fights to survive and live up to his uncle's expectations of being the sole heir.

I generally liked the book because of the exceptional editing the author used, as it made the book fluent and easy to understand. The author has made use of several new terms that are exclusive to his kingdom and has hence provided explanations of the same aspect, which encourages creativity. Dialogue has been widely used in the book and makes the book enjoyable. The book has been exemplified in terms of font, though the spacing was kind of squeezed. The book makes use of italics to share the character's thoughts with the reader and acts as a foreshadow. The book's plot wasn't quite obvious, and the reader had to be fed every detail by the author. The author is quite eloquent and makes use of vocabulary. A reader has no choice but to emulate the same.

I commend the author for blending so many stories and developing so many different characters at the same time. The book is able to remind the human race where they came from and also appreciate the efforts that have been made on so many fronts that not only improved human life but also made our environment better. I found nothing to dislike in the book.

I rate the book 4 out of 4 stars since it was exceptionally edited and it has quite a compelling storyline that can thrill a teenager. I, therefore, find it better suited to teenagers as it also doesn't have as many irresponsible scenes and improper language as much
