Review of "LOGJAM of a Beauteous MIND"
LOGJAM Of A Beauteous MIND is a book written by Peter Simon Karp. This is the story of a couple, Simon and Mona Karps. It began when Simon's wife, Mona, was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. The couple were really surprised as Mona was not a smoker. What could have caused this? After confirming this diagnosis, Mona discovers she has a maximum of 6 months to live. As she tried to fight the disease, it seemed like fate had taken sides with cancer against her life. The disease began to eat her up physically, emotionally, financially, and maritally. Her husband is also greatly affected. Read this book to know about how a wonderful woman battled with fate.
I like the reality of this book. From her reaction to the diagnosis, to how her family and friends handled it, to her chemo process, I liked how everything was real. The author did not sugar coat anything or make it colourful. Simon's love for his wife gave me goosebumbs. He stood by her, showered her with love and understanding. Even their misunderstandings seemed romantic. While I was reading this book, I noticed a grammatical error in it. It was perfectly edited. The book had wonderful themes like life, love, family, friends, and health. I learnt a lot of lessons from this book.
There is nothing to dislike about this book. It didn't have any errors. It was very realistic. There are many lessons to learn from it. It pays to be a good person. In life and after death, we are only remembered for the things we have done while we are alive.
LOGJAM Of A Beauteous MIND received a four out of four stars rating from me. Every second spent on reading this book was worth it. The author put his soul into writing this book. I could feel each emotion that each character was feeling. I got to understand what it feels like to be diagnosed with cancer. At a point in this book, I felt it was true that only good people die young, but I got to understand that there is a reason for everything and that it is possible to fight against fate.
I recommend this book to anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer or is facing a deadly disease and has death knocking on their door. I recommend this book for married couples. One does not need to wait till death is knocking on their spouse's door before showering them with love.
