Donny and Mary Grace's California Adventure by Catherine Anne Pepe is a book that delves into the life and ordeals of Donny Miller. This book has 133 pages, and it is divided into seventeen chapters. The book starts with a brief introduction to Donny's birth. The first chapter of this book talks about the family's visit to the zoo, and it also talks about the things they experienced within the four walls of the zoo. The second chapter talks about their second visit to the zoo, and it also talks about their preparation for school resumption. The second chapter also talks about Donny's lifestyle. The third chapter of this book talks about the new mission that was assigned to Donny's parents. They were assigned to Kenya for two years by the bishop. The book goes on to talk about Mary Grace's reaction to the news of her parents' new mission. She is not ready to leave her parents, but it is necessary for her parents to leave America because they are qualified for the mission. How did the story end?

Donny and Mary Grace's California Adventure by Catherine Anne Pepe is an intriguing children's book that revolves around family, friendship, and peaceful coexistence. The book has a table of contents, and I love the author's writing style. Catherine's writing style is simple and easy to flow with. She did a good job of using simple and understandable words to explain and describe the characters' actions, emotions, and environment. This book is character-driven.

It is necessary to know that words and actions have consequences. The way we deal with matters a lot. My favorite character in this book is Donny because of his positive mindset.

I enjoyed every aspect of this book. Sincerely, I did not notice any negative aspects while reading this book. I learned a lot of lessons from this book, and I believe that other readers will learn from it too. In my opinion, I think this book shows the necessity of having an optimistic mindset. I learned about love, family, and patience.

This book was well written. Donny and Mary Grace's California Adventure was exceptionally edited. I did not notice any grammatical or spelling errors while reading this book.

There are many factors that affect the way we react to the things that we encounter. I admire the efforts of the author, and I will recommend this book specifically to young kids, but I believe that adults can learn from it too. Therefore, I rate this work of fiction 4 out of 4 stars due to the few points mentioned above and because of the author's writing style.
