I usually find historical novels boring, but this one seems like it has a kick to it. Would definitely love to pick it up.

I am not a big historical reader, but the historical accuracy in this book is definitely appealing and the way the author captures the emotions of the Lakota people and the white settlers helps the reader understand more. The book is very well written and captures the readers attention from the get go, while the review paints a clear picture to also draw the reader in and create interest in this book. Well done on #BOTD and an amazing review! The cover photo and title of the book are both catching and related to the story within.

I absolutely adore good old war stories! The 1800's is also my favourite era to read about, so this book sounds as though it is right up my alley. I can't wait to read it! Thanks for a great review!

I am a huge fan of historical fiction and I think the author did a good job in putting this book to get her. I can't imagine that extensive research that must have gone into this. Kudos to the reviewer for a wonderful review and congratulations on being the BOTD.

As a fan of historical fiction, I like that this book is detailed in terms of geographical maps and the Great Sioux War fought in the late 1800s. Great review.

Thank you for your review. I usually can take or leave historical fiction, but your mention of the interpersonal relationship in this book pushes it to the more interesting side for me. I look forward to reading it.

This book illustrates how important our culture is and why we should strive to revive our culture. This is because culture is the only thing that shows our true origin.

This book is about the bond of friendship between a Lakota warrior, Shadow Hawk, and a U.S. cavalryman, Joshua Mackenzie, which is tested as the Great Sioux War reaches its climax. Let's read it and figure it out.

I don't know much about native Americans, and I'm also not a big fan of historical fiction, so I'll pass on this book.

This novel set in the American West helps keep history alive. The friendship between Joshua and Shadow Hawk is fascinating considering the tumultuous times of the Indian Wars and battles for territory. I like that it conveys feelings like the spirit of unity of the tribes, which connects readers with the characters and situations.
