I am not a historical fan so I will pass on this book but the review was interesting and well-written.

Interesting review! Although I'm a fan of historical fiction, I think I'll pass on this. Books which mention war and violence do not sit well with me.

I would love to read the first novel in this series. This portion of American history that I’m not as familiar with unfortunately, so I would love to broaden my knowledge with information from this fictional account! It sounds like a heart wrenching tale.

I enjoyed reading your review. I too would love to know all about the historical accuracies and description the author rendered in the book. Before now, I had never really come across a book on the times of conflict between Americans and the Indians. Thanks for the amazing review.

Intriguing storyline, I like the fact that it's a stand alone series, I can easily pick it up and read without checking the previous one. Captivating review, welldone

This is a very emotional book about the history of Indians and Westerners. I am not a fan of historical fiction, but I loved this review.
Keep up.

This book talks about the events that happened long time ago in history. The author did a good job in the character development of this book, and I'd really love to read it. Thanks for your honest review.

As they say that it is during the time of wars that true friendship is tested. I just hope the friendship between Joshua and Lakota works out. Nice review!

Thank you for your wonderful review. I have seen the first book in this series listed but didn't know for sure what it was about. I'm glad to know that I could read this book without reading the other one first. This sounds very interesting. I have always been interested in the west and the American Indians and have friends that live in that area. Now that you have enlightened me about the book, I would like to add this one to my list of books to read. I am hoping that Joshua and Shadow Hawk can maintain their friendship.

While historical fiction isn't really my cup of tea, I love that the author provided maps and illustrations, which added another layer of intrigue. It sounds like the author was very knowledgeable regarding dates and battles. Thanks for the detailed review.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting historical fiction about a young boy and his family that move out west. There Joshua meets and befriends a young Lakota boy. Will there friendship survive the wars and conflicts between the Natives American tribes and the settlers? It might be worth a second look. Well done.

This sounds like a great book to learn history especially about Indian culture. Historical-fictions that feature wars are not my favourite genre. I'm intrigued by the friendship between Joshua and the Lakota boy. This is a well-researched book that captures the battles and historical events in the late 1800s. Thank you for an informative and excellent review.

This seems like quite an interesting book. Although I'm not a huge fan of most historical books, I won't mind giving this book a try. Thanks for the review.
