That is a cool one. Another good one on that same theme is the soundtrack from Destination Moon by Leith Stevens.

I'm gonna agree with a bunch of people and say that LOTR and Pirates of the Caribbean are some of the best. And the original Shrek soundtrack is good, but for different reasons.

Omg there are so many! I love Dirty Dancing, Rock of Ages, I just watched a really good movie called Warm Bodies that had a great soundtrack to it, the list goes on and on

Showboat is a great one. The first Showboat from 1936 I think was the best one, it seemed to have more meat to it, and the awesome voice of Paul Robeson.

Zannie, if you ever get a chance watch the movie Till the Clouds roll by. Its about the life of Jerome Kern, and the first part has a medly of the songs filmed on a stage. Its the next best thing to seeing it live.

One I always liked was the music from the TV series One Step Beyond by Harry Lubin. The main theme was especially chilling.
