I'm going to skip this book now that the plot is really simplistic. However, I would love to check further works from this author in the case the installments will be able to be read as stand-alones. Thanks for the review.

It seems like a very interesting book. I am a big fan of murder mysteries and I enjoy reading fantasy works too. To see a blend of both of these in a novel is what makes it appealing to me.

I've always related magic to fairytale. But after reading this review I'm in awe with the mix up of themes. Magic plus crime is definitely intriguing. I can't wait to get my hands on this book. Congratulations on BOTD, Hughes.

Sounds like an interesting book. I was wondering how mystery would merge with magic but it has been shown here for the reviewer to enjoy it so much. Congratulations to the author.

This sounds so much like a movie I've watched. An inspector being able to catch criminals easily because he possessed extraordinary abilities. I will love to read this book. Congratulations to the author on winning book of the day. Amazing review.

A murder mystery that also has a touch of fantasy sounds quite exciting. Inspector Russell Gaines and Julie Melton sound like quite interesting characters and I am eager to see how they solve the murder. Congratulations on BOTD.

Inspector Mage is a mystery and crime novel. Russell is asked to solve a murder but Julie is suspicious of his action.Hopefully they can overlook their differences and work together.

This storyline of this book is intriguing. Though, I imagined Inspector Mage as a slightly older man in his early 50s. I'm glad he was younger.
I look forward to reading this book.
I enjoyed your review.

It quite unfortunate for the inspector. I wouldn't blame him for giving up. I would love to read this book to find out more about inspector Russell. Again, the book cover page is exceptional. Congrats on BOTD.

This sounds like a really cool mystery novel! I love how the author included magic in the story; this ought to keep readers very engaged and interest in how this plays out. Thanks for the review!
