I am interested in reading Curby's story. I wonder how the narration would end. I am curious about Curby and Nick's relationship. Thank you for the well-written review.

This is a heartwarming story. Having lost someone he loved dearly, he had to struggle with raising the child alone. It can be very difficult going through such things.

I love the fact that Sandra accepted Curby and treated him like a son. The book revolves around love, relationship, and courage. I'd love to read this book. Thanks for your honest review.

Thank you for your review. It provided great insight into Nick's character. I can identify with the main character of Curby already. It is a great pleasure to read a well-written book with a meaningful plot. :techie-reference:

This is inspirational. A story of struggles, how the support and love exists. Good that Sandra can still achieve what she love - being a mother. Inspirational book indeed.

Congrats on BOTD. Looks like we will learn a lot of things that involve an abandoned child in this short book. I hope Nick will get to keep Curby.

The storyline sounds interesting! I wonder if Nick and Sandra planned to adopt Curby legally. When Nick found him and took him home, did he notify anyone that he had found Curby? I have many unanswered questions, so I must read this one! Thanks for the excellent review!

I wonder all the hurdles Nick will have to go through just to keep Curby. I'm not sure this is my kind of book, so I'll be skipping it.

This is a heartwarming story about Nick, who discovered a baby boy in a carton in the middle of the street. Years later, he became involved in a custody battle over the boy. There is sadness, love and so much more in this book. Though, it lack emotion, I think one can feel the struggles that Nick went through finding this baby and then, the strain of losing him after the closeness and love they shared.

This is a heartfelt story about a newborn baby who was left on the curb to die, and finds love with a stranger. Thank you for your review.

Finding a baby abandoned on the street and not reporting it sounds crazy enough, but then years later losing that now toddler with no paperwork to prove this is Nick’s child sounds horrible! A story about family love and bond sounds very heartwarming. There seems to be a lot here! Drug addiction, murder, terminal cancer, and a custody issue. Too bad it misses in-depth plot development and emotions, but I’m glad you enjoyed this read regardless! Thank you for sharing!

I am imagining that this book will reduce me to tears, and surely it will. But the reviewer's final words, particularly "a healthy sprinkling of cuteness," compel me to read it. It's free, so I will lose nothing but a box of tissues. Or two boxes.

I am sorry, but what kind of parent would want to name the child Curby?! Starting from "kick to the curb" and ending with the game, I don't understand how anyone can wish on their kid fate of living with such name and become targets of bullying because of it. In my opinion, it is very cruel and I prefer to pass this book.
