I haven't read any books set in Uruguay before this. I have liked Peter's character so far, especially with how he is willing to protect his family at all costs. Congrats on book of the day.

I don't think he needed to think twice. His family should come first. I enjoy crime novels but not really a fan of historical fiction. Thanks for an amazing review. Congratulations to the author on winning BOTD.

A gripping tale of Peter Gray and his family in the hands of the bad underground gang is nicely presented in the book "Carrasco '67" by Elaine Broun. This should be an entertaining read.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

This story sounds properly cooked with the right blend of all the elements. I'm already curious as to why this family is a target and how they got out of the mess, if at all.
Congratulations, BOTD.

"Carrasco '67" by Elaine Broun. An interesting story, talks about Peter Gray and his family. Peter fought so well with Jairo, the company lawyer, Dan Mitrione, and Sergeant Fonseca. Miguel de Luna the man sent to bring mystery to Peter Gray and family. This book is well written and detailed for readers understanding. Congrats on your #BOTD.

"Carrasco '67" is the debut novel by Elaine Brown and a story about Peter Gray and his family in the hands of the Tupamaros group during their soaring popularity around the late 1960's. Peter was excited to work at Pradman Industries, a top accounting firm as a partner. Peter and his family moved from Brazil to Uruguay and a year later trouble begins as the insurgent guerrillas called Tupamaros infiltrated the Pradman Industries. Peter tried to fight them off using the company lawyer but the Tupamaros would go to any length to steal the family's peace. Peter and his family decide to flee the country but with the eyes and ears of the Tupamaros everywhere will they escape? One needs to read the book to find out if they successfully flee the country. Very good review and a book I am adding to my Want to Read shelf.

As a partner at Pradman Industries, one of the top two accounting firms, Peter was delighted. He relocates to Uruguay with his family from Rio de Janeiro. Later, the infamously dreaded insurgents known as the Tupamaros Territory Movement start to stir up trouble.

Choosing between family and career is always a difficult choice. It is, however, with courage that Peter chooses to protect his family. This is a great book to read to teach about morals and hard choices. I can't wait to read this book. Congratulations on BOTD!
