The book E M P Honeymoon: Kelly & Tom by Dorothy May Mercer is a work of fiction and is entirely the author's imagination, portraying love, bravery, and heroism. The author, Dorothy May Mercer, introduced the main characters Kelly McBride and her newly wedded husband, Carson City Police Department (CCPD) Sergeant Tom Turbulo. The couple was portrayed enjoying their honeymoon on a Caribbean Island with gorgeous beaches, a dive center, delicious meals, and their private cottage. They spent a day apart, which unfortunately wasn't pleasant for Kelly as she ran into a man who was up to no good while shopping for souvenirs for her nephews and nieces. The honeymoon was not the romantic and relaxing holiday Kelly and Tom had planned and hoped for as they found themselves internationally intrigued with a plot to blow up North America using an electromagnetic pulse.

There was much I expected from this book. The author, Dorothy May Mercer, did an outstanding job putting her idea into a wonderfully executed work of literature. The book has all the making of a fantastic thriller and exciting imagery that started tremendously and was bombarded with excessive technical knowledge. The characters introduced were given what I view as strategic roles that made them lovable and would make readers develop and feel excitement, terror, and empathy.

One positive aspect of the book E M P Honeymoon: Kelly & Tom by Dorothy May Mercer is the inclusion of technology and humor in the story, like the smart cell phone used in the story, which is phenomenal. I like a good sense of humor.

I didn't find anything to dislike or negative about this book. However, while reading this book, I felt a heightened level of excitement going through the story, but at some point, it became dull and confusing, which will most likely terminate the enthusiasm. This book might disappoint impulsive readers who lack patience but love rapid excitement while reading it. It'll require patience for some readers to finish this book, especially with the same enthusiasm they started with initially.

The book E M P Honeymoon: Kelly & Tom is both exciting and engaging. This book is intended to take readers on an imaginary trip. Therefore, I highly recommend this book to readers and lovers of fiction.
