Review of Commercial Property Made Easy
Commercial Property Made Easy by Chris Lang is a guide on how to go about the commercial property business. It explains 18 aspects that should be on your checklist before opening or closing any deals, and it gives 9 steps to do that easily. From negotiating to evaluating your property and adding value to bag more profit, this book has all the answers you need. The author has also included more than 30 minutes of audio that complements the information in the book. From a small rental business premise to large suites, the book explicitly explains how to go about the real estate business.
My first impression of this book after reading the introduction was, "Okay, the author is promising too much about this book." To me, it sounded like a really good advertisement wrapped in very convincing promotional language. I also thought that maybe this book was written solely to convince its readers to sign up for the author's workshop. It turns out I was right — but with a twist. While the author makes references to his workshop, he gives enough information that proves it worthwhile. Actually, the book is written from the perspective of Tobi Johns who claims to be a beneficiary of the workshop alongside his wife, Frank Tennyson (a businessman), and other people who attended. To be honest, that made me a bit skeptical about the book but also curious.
To me, the book sounded more like someone who attended the workshop summarizing what was shared. While it seems awkward to me, it was actually amazing from another perspective. It was like, "hey, why not just write the story in the usual conventional way? Must you get someone else to convince us?" Anyway, it's the very thing advertisers will do. However, the more I read, the more I began seeing the information as extraordinary. The explanations were well done but I instead began liking this new approach to presentation. Getting it all from someone else's view made the book more immersive and relatable. I liked how everything clicked right into place all of a sudden.
While I questioned why the author had to write the book in the style he did, I found it ingeniously amazing. The book was captivating to read and it was straight to the point despite its style of delivery. I think the book's quality is awesome, and I rate it 4 out of 4 stars. But was the book convincing enough to me? Absolutely no. I feel it would take more than what has been presented. I would have preferred getting it from the author himself instead. However, I don't think that's a negative thing big enough to affect the rating.
The book was perfectly edited and I didn't find any errors. I would recommend the book to those who want more information about how to efficiently navigate the world of commercial property.
