Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins

Post by sbanks147 »

Has anyone else read Sweet Evil? I loved this book!

It's about a girl who was taken in by a woman who could not have children, and grows up with super heightened senses, such as being able to hear a mile away. When she turns 16 she also starts seeing fuzzy outlines of Angels following everyone around. She meets a guy in a band at a concert, who she is automatically drawn to because he is hot and he does not give off any colors, whereas everyone else she has ever met does. She finds out that he is like her, in that they both have demons for fathers, which she did not know before. She is not like all of the other demon children, however, because her mother was not a demon but was more than just a human. Kaiden and Anna struggle against their feelings for each other because they can never be together, and Anna seems to have a destiny that she has to fulfill that will help all of the Nephilium and save them from Hell.

It's on Amazon, it just popped up for me when I was looking at recommendations because I already read a lot of books like it :). I'm going to read the second one in the series sometime this week when I get the time.

It's kind of expensive for a kindle book, between 7 and 10$, I don't remember exactly

i really enjoyed the book. I read the second as well. I liked them both. The reason i read this book was because IT was mentioned in Origin by Jennifer Armentrout when i was reading it. This is a very different type of book. The idea was unique, i think. Kaiden drove me crazy for awhile. Can't wait for the next book in the series.

This might be the best book I have ever read... not including Harry Potter, of course.
