Sacher Masoch's "Venus in Furs"

It is the only erotica novel that I have ever fully read. It is a classic of the BDSM genre. And I thought it was magnificent. I liked the mind games, how the worshipping and the submission were at a psychological level. I like that the emphasis was on this and how it did not become vulgar at any point.

Who else read it? What were your thoughts on it? Have you read anything similar?
