Together with her furry family and friends, Moi Inca runs the detective agency Inca & Company. R.F. Kristi's tale, titled Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula, follows the feline protagonists as they investigate and solve a series of mysteries. The novel's plot begins when the protagonists and their human mother travel to South Korea for the Cordon Bleu Cookery Competition between South and North Korean chefs. Tensions flared when someone stole the fantastic cheese that Missy had just created and was about to unveil. Do you think Inca and his friends will be able to find the stolen cheese, even though they'll have to cross the demilitarized zone between North and South Korea?

The author did a great job creating a fun and informative book for young readers about detectives. A children's mystery novel that appeals to their tastes could be challenging for an author. The illustrator did a great job making it lively and exciting. As someone who enjoys the company of pets, the author is an animal rights activist, drew inspiration for these novels from her furry companions, and donated a portion of the proceeds to an animal shelter.
Some terms are obscure, so younger kids might need adult supervision to grasp them fully. Most kids have no idea what's going on with North and South Korea. Overall, though, the story has a fantastic plot.

It's refreshing to return to the world of children's fiction; doing so has brought back fond memories of my childhood reading experiences. As a child, a simple fable could brighten my day. I give this book a perfect 5 out of 5 stars. Even though this book has been meticulously proofread and contains no typos or grammatical errors, one thing I didn't like about this book was that some of the terms used might be too technical for younger readers.

The book is perfect for elementary school students who enjoy reading and parents who desire to read to their kids.
