I haven't read this book but after reading your review I am so compelled to do so. I, too, am a fan of poetry and the amazing way you can express yourself through it, it is a way to open up without being fully exposed in a sorts. This opening line makes me want to read this book right away because of this review: Good poetry will make you think and challenge your ability to decipher a riddle of words with a compelling point. An Open Wound is that book, it takes you on this journey of metaphors, imagery, and figurative language, with stories about romance, relationships, and self-realization. It's nice to read a review from a person who really appreciates the art form.
