Commas and Coordinating Conjunctions (Full Guide with Examples and Sources)

Some grammar rules (and embarrassing mistakes!) transcend the uniqueness of different regions and style guides. This new International Grammar section by OnlineBookClub.org ultimately identifies those rules thus providing a simple, flexible rule-set, respecting the differences between regions and style guides. You can feel free to ask general questions about spelling and grammar. You can also provide example sentences for other members to proofread and inform you of any grammar mistakes.

Thanks for the guideline… I really struggle with the commas. I will go through this and the relevant links to get the hang of it. Thanks 😊

Thank you for providing this information. I made various mistakes with commas and coordinating conjunctions  . This clarifies a lot.

Thank you for the information. The main issue with my reviews is the use or non use of commas. I am hopeful for having this corrected in my next review.

Hi! Wow, thank you for putting it in simple terms. I struggle the most with using commas correctly in my reviews. I will probably spend a lot of time here. 😅

Can you please elaborate this fo me? imagination, science (,) and spirituality. Is it a must that we need a comma after the word science yet they aren't independent clauses?

Thanks a bunch for this. I guess somewhere along the line, I lost the concept of what a comma is and what it does because let me tell you, I put it where I feel like. If you spot a comma where it shouldn't be in this post, then my point has been proven. If not, miracles happen every day.

The challenging part for me was figuring out how a comma is applied in an independent clause.
