Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book is a self-help book written by Kalliope Barlis. Kalliope is a well-known expert who employs neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) to assist her patients from all walks of life in convincing their minds to allow them to perform better physically. This strategy is used here to help the brain assist the body, and hence the person as a whole, become a better golfer.

It is impressive that the author considered using this strategy to optimize the brain's powers to impact the rest of the body and effect change. That was one of the things I took away from this book, which I thoroughly enjoyed. In general, this author's distinctive writing style succeeds in keeping the reader captivated by whatever is being written. Barlis makes her writing as comprehensible as possible so that anyone may read it and relate it to how they typically do things in order to effectively affect positive change.

Another aspect of this book that I loved was the degree of faith that the author put in her patients. Barlis, for example, is unlikely to have met the vast majority of the people who will read this book. Despite this, she personalized the message by emphasizing throughout the book that "if you believe you can do it, you can." This is encouraging because anyone who battles with self-esteem will feel as if they have an enthusiastic fan cheering them on from the sidelines—in this case, the author. This, paired with the NLP approach to brain programming, is the fantastic tactic employed by the author in this book to assist in the transformation of any amateur golfer's mindset and aid in their improvement.

Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book was a fascinating read. After reading, I can certainly state that this book was professionally edited because I found no errors. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and give it a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. In most of her books, Kalliope Barlis has a motif of having a lot of introductory pages before the main content begins. The fact that I had to flip through nearly 20 pages before getting to the main material of this book bugged me a little, but not enough to detract from its excellent rating.

Obviously, this book was written for beginner golfers who want to improve their game. But I believe there's more. The author herself stated that the techniques used in this book can be applied to other aspects of life as well. I completely agree with her because she initially used therapeutic techniques to deal with her "golf problem." As a result, I recommend this book to people who know they have an issue with one aspect of their lives and are trying to improve it but are having difficulty. Whether it's interpersonal relationships, sports, or a work challenge, the NLP techniques in this book will come in handy.
