Review of Man Mission
This enlightening book by Eytan Uliel centers on four men who have been friends since college. The story begins when Sam and the main character propose the idea of traveling to a different location every year as a kind of escape from reality. The quartet decides to live freely throughout these trips like true outdoor men without the regular worries of everyday life but their dreams are not realized until a few years later after they had graduated and gotten jobs. Grab a copy of Man Mission: Four Men, Fifteen Years, One Epic Journey and travel alongside four friends who visited various places around the world for a decade and a half.
There are many positive aspects to this book. I was able to experience the action as closely as possible thanks to the author's use of descriptive vocabulary. I felt the thrills and disappointments of the characters personally and this helped me relate to them easily. To share more of what has transpired in the characters' lives, the author switched between the present and the past and I was able to properly understand more information with this technique. The characters had depth with well-rounded emotions and the plot was interesting. I saw a considerable difference in the behavior of the characters as the book progressed. They gradually grew more mature, which gave the story a more genuine and realistic sense. They learned something from the different places they visited and used the knowledge to tackle the difficulties they encountered in their daily lives. I particularly appreciated the tone the author used when telling the story from the viewpoint of an unnamed character.
The author's message is a captivating read with many unexpected twists and his writing style suits the book well. Each year in the book is characterized by a thrilling piece of news or some unexpected event for the group, which in turn makes the book more interesting and difficult to put down. The book includes themes like loyalty and the strong bond of trust. A reader can observe men encouraging other men to grow positively, a factor that is no longer common in our present society. Friendship is the main theme of this book; other themes like marriage, wants and needs of being a man will inspire a lot of young adults in need of guidance.
I was unable to find anything negative about this book. The book was exceptionally well edited because I found no errors.
I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. I gave the book a high rating because the writing was excellent and there were no grammatical errors. I recommend this book to any lovers of travel and adventure, especially young adults. I will also advise that this book be read by mature readers because of the level of profanity.
