Review of Reconfigurement
Reconfigurement, written by E. Alan Fleischauer, is a nonfiction self-help book. The book aims to clarify it for readers what needs to be done in order to get ready for retirement. With notable quotes and a dash of humor, this book is a fun and insightful read. It emphasizes two topics: various insurance plans to be aware of and investment strategies. Additionally, it poses a number of queries to encourage readers to reflect on their strengths and determine the choices in life that will make them feel the happiest. Every subject covered in the book is significant and beneficial to all readers. The author expertly presents complex ideas, such as Roth IRAs or 401(k) plans, in a simple and interesting way that not only effectively imparts essential knowledge but also maintains readers' interest. Additionally, the book is jam-packed with useful references that may be utilized to learn more about any specific topic.
This book's opening chapter outlines retirement planning options and provides examples for each, which I found to be a great addition. It made sure that the reader could understand how the process worked. The author provides a list of other books and other resources that discuss financial planning at the end of this book. I liked it since it contributed additional information about retirement planning that the author would not have included in the book. I particularly valued the author's decision to combine all the responses to frequently asked questions about money and retirement in a single book.
Nothing about the book bothered me; it was well-written and educational to read. The writing was quite readable, despite the potentially frightening subject. It was jovial and conversational, but also blunt. The author's message was validated by the inclusion of first-person tales from other retirees, which also highlighted how vital the subject was. You can learn how to manage your life from someone who actually understands what they are talking about by reading this book.
To better capture and hold readers' attention, fewer descriptions are employed. All of the book's few charts and tables were simple to read and comprehend. I couldn't help but notice that his writing was rather informal. It made it possible for me to read this book calmly. He uses plain, understandable language. It was exceptionally well edited, since there were no typos or grammatical errors in it. I am rating this book, Reconfigurement, 5 out of 5 stars because it was interesting and well-written.
I recommend this book to people interested in planning their retirement and reconfiguring their lives.
