I plan on getting a tattoo one day in the future. It's going to be on my left shoulder and a quote from a song. It's going to say "Don't count the miles, Count the I love yous". It has special meanings to me. It will represent my family and friends who are far away, even those who have passed on.
Some people get tattoos, just to get them and be a part of the group. Others get them to stand out. Whatever the reason, It's your reason and nobody else's. It's also your choice and your body, so nobody should have a say in whether or not you tattoo your body. The same thing goes for body piercings as well.

Is she trying to tell the world she's a doormat?Starmy wrote:Someone at work had paw prints starting from her shoulder going down to her ankle. They are abysmal, badly done. It could be quite cute on a smaller scale!

Some women don't know how to be any other way...as Picasso said : " Women come in two categories : " Goddesses, or Doormats "

There is no reason to be rude.
You are happy with no tattoos. Many here...myself included...are just as happy with tattoos. Not everyone believes in God and many that do pray to different deities (this is a global forum). And we are ALL unique...whether or not we sport a bit of ink. Although the men you know may be "turned off by tattoos" there are many men who feel quite the opposite...my late husband was one of them. Wide sweeping generalizations are seldom accurate.
Birthmarks are "like" tattoos in their permanence, (...although now both can be removed...) I suppose. Otherwise, I would find a tattoo preferable, as we can choose the placement and design of a tattoo.
Live and let live.
Oh...and TRUST me...I have never been mistaken for a "doormat"...lol

As a cat-lover I could see a few tiny ones spiraling up a calf, perhaps...that could be cuteStarmy wrote:Someone at work had paw prints starting from her shoulder going down to her ankle. They are abysmal, badly done. It could be quite cute on a smaller scale!
