Post by ibis »

Hello everyone,

Im new, and i LOVE reading. I did some writing at uni, but not for quite a while now. i am a teacher in australia. im hoping to expland my horizons with the books that i read. i have found myself resorting to the old faithfuls (jane austen and harry potter). so any suggestions would be great. i am looking forward to communicating with some like minded people. my friends dont share the books they read (if they read?).

Hello, I'm a newbie and am really glad that I stumbled on this site.
I'm not good at English but I try to learn it from reading books. Children books are my start and I still love them.

Hello, just wanted to introduce myself. I am a 30 year old female who has always been an absolute bookworm. I look forward to interesting discussions and hopefully some good recommendations!

Hello everyone! My husband is a big fan of using forums for his hobbies, and so I thought I'd give it a try for mine. I love to read, so here I am. I'm just about to turn 28, I've been married for nearly 5 years and we have 2 small children, 2 dogs, and a cat. We don't actually have internet at our home, so I'm not sure how often I'll be on, but I thought it would be fun to try and jump in!

Buongiorno!

I'm Eleanor, otherwise known as Ellie, EllieRolfe13, etc. I'm on several forums for various interests. I love reading, there's probably nothing I love more. My family read just as much as I do but different material, so we don't always agree. We're just a big old intellectual, argumentative family.

I'm eighteen, soon to be nineteen, and am the oldest of seven children. My parents are excellent - my siblings drive me crazy, but I love them to pieces.

I take English Literature and History at college, though there are several other things I want to do... all I know is my future has to include books, in some form.

So hello :)

- Ellie.

hi!

I'm new...History major, sophomore in college, 20...uhhh oldest of 6 kids. (Hi Ellie, I see we're sorta similar!)

I love BOOKS. Particularly fantasy, sci-fi, or history...anyone here use goodreads.com? I keep track of what I'm reading there...I'm obviously easily distracted...hehe.

Music is also a must for me, and generally tea. I love all three together, that makes perfect happy timez. (books + tea + music)

anyway hullo!

Heeeeey...I'm Audrey (Aud, as I prefer to be called by most). I'm trying this place out among all the other forums since I see no written objections to posting questions about "anonymous" books. I recently*COUGH*moved from the East Bay and am attending College of the Redwoods/aka CR as it's known up here. When I'm old and gray I'll finally get my marine biology career started. I'm an avid reader but stick mostly to sc-fi/fantasy and some fiction. I've read all of Brian Jacques' Redwall/Castaways of the Flying Dutchman(albeit the latest ones); currently halfway through The Sword of Truth(TV adaption is a little disappointing). I'd LOVE to delve into other novels, but never really seem to have the money to buy-out all the bookstores.
